This webinar will provide insights into the implementation and use of ClearCheck and ClearCalc from both the physicist and dosimetrist perspectives. In the presentations, we’ll be highlighting the best methods for optimizing efficiency for plan review and secondary calculations.
Dosimetrist Mariel Cornell, CMD, will speak to the benefits of an improved plan review and documentation workflow. Mariel will also describe the details of her 2020 ASTRO poster, which demonstrated a dramatic reduction in overall plan reporting time with ClearCheck.
Physicist Corey Clift, MS, DABR, will describe his department’s clinical use of ClearCheck and ClearCalc software, and how Novant Health has leveraged automation to maximize efficiency and improve results in plan evaluation.
This webinar is intended for radiation therapy physicists and dosimetrists interested in clinical efficiencies.
Mariel Cornell has worked at UC San Diego for 13 years as a senior dosimetrist and manager for their team of 9 dosimetrists. She started in rad onc 20+ years ago as an undergraduate physics major doing research but fell in love with the dynamic nature of the clinic and the constantly evolving technology that drives the field forward. She’s committed to embracing automation and finding ways to successfully implement it into the clinic to improve patient care.
Corey Clift works for the Novant Health UVA Health System Cancer Center—a two-vault all-varian site outside of Washington DC. He is excited by the intersection of risk-based quality management, incident learning, automation and data-driven decisions in radiation oncology. His clinic was a fairly early adopter of ClearCheck and recently transitioned from a “traditional” secondary monitor unit verification to ClearCalc.
